Note From Our Chair – Spreading the Foundation’s Message

As Chair of the Foundation, I am honoured to be involved in spreading our message and raising funds to make screening available for as many people as possible. In this blog post, I want to share the highlights of recent achievements and the impact they have had in furthering our mission to protect the health of young adults.

Legends Cricket Match and Annual Memorial Golf Event

September was an incredibly rewarding month for our Foundation. Our Legends Cricket Match at The Neston Club and the Annual Memorial Golf Event at Heswall Golf Club were both resounding successes.

These events not only brought in significant financial contributions but also provided the perfect platform to promote our cause. It was heartening to see the support from our guests as I shared our achievements and future plans for creating awareness and funding for future cardiac screenings.

Liverpool Old Boys Football League Centenary Dinner

The Liverpool Old Boys Football League Centenary Dinner, scheduled for November 4th at the Titanic Hotel, will be another exciting opportunity to spread our message. With high profile guests like Peter Reid and Razor Ruddock in attendance, I look forward to addressing the audience and emphasising the importance of what we do. I hope that sharing the progress we have made as an organisation will inspire more supporters to join our cause.

More Introductions & Networking

On December 1st, as we celebrate Tim’s Birthday, I am thrilled to be attending another event where I’ll have a brief opportunity to introduce our charity to guests. While the introduction may be short, it is a meaningful way to generate awareness and encourage individuals to learn more about our work.

Additionally, I am being approached more regularly by new contacts who want to offer new venues to spread the word of the Foundation’s aims and achievements to date.

Future Prospects

It continues to inspire me to see the growing interest and support for the Tim Cogley Cardiac Screening Foundation, and the important cause we support. Together, we can continue to make a significant impact by ensuring free screenings are accessible to all young adults in our region, enabling early detection and potentially saving lives of many more individuals who would otherwise be unaware of their underlying heart condition.
